The Swiss AIDS Federation is committed to ensuring that research is conducted in the best interests of the people taking part and acts as a partner in numerous research projects. Through a range of measures, it is also committed to quality assurance in the field of sexual health.

SURE

The Swiss AIDS Federation runs the national testing and surveillance programme for HIV and other STIs. The SURE tool enables systematic counselling and data analysis in the VCT sector.

SwissPrEPared

SwissPrEPared is a cohort study involving several university hospitals, comprising people in Switzerland who are taking PrEP, and includes just under 10,000 participants. The Swiss AIDS Federation is a co-author of the guidelines and is actively involved in the relevant committees.

Swiss HIV Cohort Study (SHCS)

The SHCS is a cohort study involving several university hospitals which, since 1988, has been monitoring over 22,000 people living with HIV, collecting their health data and analysing it in scientific studies. The Swiss AIDS Federation communicates research findings to people living with HIV.

Research projects

National and international researchers regularly approach the Swiss AIDS Federation to participate in advisory committees or as part of PPI (Patient and Public Involvement).
