You can protect yourself from hepatitis A/B, HPV and mpox by getting vaccinated. Infection can have serious consequences. That’s why it’s worth protecting yourself.

Why vaccination?

Some pathogens can be passed on during sex and cause infections. Other than with HIV, condoms do not reliably protect against STIs (sexually transmitted infections).

You can protect against some STIs with a vaccine. Vaccines prevent infection, illness and transmission. Although not all vaccines provide 100% protection against infection, they do reduce the risk of severe illness. Vaccination pays off

Our vaccination recommendations

We recommend that everyone get vaccinated against hepatitis B and HPV

In addition:

Are you living with HIV?

Vaccination against influenza, pneumococcus, chickenpox or shingles and hepatitis B is recommended for people with CD4 > 200/ul (15% in children). If the blood count is lower, only the vaccinations against influenza, pneumococcus and hepatitis B are recommended.
