Casual sex, hook-up, booty call or one-night stand: no matter how you call it, the Safer Sex Rules also apply to one-off sex. It is best to get informed beforehand.

Protection

You are responsible for protecting yourself against HIV. Information about the sexual health of sex partners can only be relied on to a limited extent. Do not put your trust in statements like «I feel healthy» or «I recently did a test.»

Testing

Doing a test for HIV is advisable if you have not protected yourself against HIV. It is also worthwhile getting tested for other sexually transmitted diseases if you regularly have different sex partners. Seek advice.
