Is AI replacing human HIV prevention?
In the age of artificial intelligence, our work is also changing. Studies show that medical advice is becoming better and more efficient.
Just recently, Google's artificial intelligence passed the American medical school final exam with over 85% of the points. This is impressive and doctors are also recommending advice from resource-saving AI chatbots for some areas of application. This will also change our work in the medium to long term.
At the conference, we had the opportunity to ask an AI questions on the topic. In response to our questions about how we could use this technology in the future, we were told: «It is possible that Swiss AIDS Federation will use AI technologies to support its work in the future. However, it is important to note that AI technologies still need to be supervised by humans to ensure that they are used ethically and responsibly.»
So our human work still seems to be important. Especially in providing the right information to the public and contextualizing results through AI.
