Anniversary
For 40 Years. For You.
In 2025, Aids-Hilfe Schweiz will celebrate its 40th anniversary. HIV/AIDS has transformed both world and Swiss history. Thousands of people have died of AIDS in Switzerland, and many lives continue to be affected by HIV today. For 40 years, Aids-Hilfe Schweiz has been dedicated to humanity, care, and the fight for equal health opportunities and sexual self-determination — particularly for people who are still denied these rights today. The Federal Council's goal of eliminating new HIV infections in Switzerland by 2030 is ambitious.
Anniversary Day on June 13, 2025
On Friday, 13 June 2025, the Swiss Aids Federation celebrated its 40th anniversary with a diverse programme at the National Museum in Zurich. The day began with an interdisciplinary symposium and ended with a festive ceremony and an afterparty.
History
The Swiss AIDS Federation was founded on 2 June 1985 under dramatic circumstances and massive media attention. For almost 40 years, the Swiss AIDS Federation has been working hard to promote the sexual health of all humans and the rights of at-risk groups.
