The Swiss AIDS Federation has been operating since 1985. It is the umbrella federation for over 40 member organisations which are active in the HIV field.

The Federation plans, coordinates and implements prevention projects, with a particular emphasis on population groups at greater risk. It is an advocate for people living with HIV, their needs, their rights, and their equal position in society.

The Swiss AIDS Federation is a non-profit organisation which is structured as an association. It is certified by the Zewo Foundation, which recognises quality among Swiss charities.

The Swiss AIDS Federation is funded by grants from the Federal Office of Public Health, the Federal Social Insurance Office, as well as private donations.
