Men who have sex with men and trans people are particularly affected by certain infections. That is why the Swiss Aids Federation has been conducting regular testing campaigns in the community since 2017.
The sexually transmitted infections (STI) HIV, syphilis, gonorrhoea and chlamydia are widespread. An infection is often detected late and therefore passed on. A large proportion of diagnoses are among men who have sex with men and trans people.
That is why the Swiss Aids Federation recommends: Men who have sex with men and trans people should get tested regularly for HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea and chlamydia – even if you're not experiencing any symptoms.
Periodical testing for the top STIs provides clarity and makes you feel good.
